Sunnyside Garden Faerie
Check out the murals created for this location in Sunnyside Calgary, AB. There were nine artists on this site which made it a super fun time, esp. because it was for a great cause; creating sustainable community gardens! This is my first piece done entirely using spraypaint and I'm pretty stoked with the results. I learned lots from watching some heavy hitters and embraced some hot tips. Thanks to Adam and Sergey for organizing and to all the sponsors for donating the building and supplies! Go down and check out the other artists' work!

Open Source Street Art Project!
This project was created by Edmonton Arts Council and Capital City Cleanup, to promote awareness and encourage dialog between artist and community. The program will help evolve street artists and public perception towards this form of art by providing different sites to facilitate street artists. I had the priviledge to be a part of this proactive direction and really enjoyed my experience, as a lead artist, with the organizers, participating lead artists, local artists and community members. Thank yous to Ms. Johnson, the great students and faculty of Edith Rogers School for their time and efforts and hospitality; Dawn S. Dahl and the crew at EAC and CCCU, the Paint Spot and the City of Edmonton. Shoutout to the gifted Jason Botkin (en Masse), AJA Louden (and Leah), the Franklins, McKinnons and Millwoods Community!
What a fantastic time!!

The Works Art And Design Festival!...in Edmonton, AB
Hey all! This year I participated in The Works Art and Design Festival organizing just one of many projects geared to provide free art to the public. I'm stoked to have been part of the program lineup w/ all the great artists and projects involved this year. I coordinated an art mosaic project involving over 50 artists; family and friends from all over; LA to Montreal to Yellowknife!?! I didn't know if it would work out as planned but amazing things happen when a group is focused on the same page... Thank you WorksFestival staff and volunteers and to all the artists who contributed their time and gifts in doing ... This! and to all the people who came out and had the honor to meet and play with! Thank you!

Miner Pride!...in Fort McMurray, AB
What an honor to be involved in The Municipality of Wood Buffalo's inaugural Public Art pilot project. I had the pleasure of presenting to some of the students and faculty of Fort McMurray Composite High School as well as hosted workshops w/ the art classes. All this, and painting a mural w/ some help from some of the students, faculty and community members. It was an awesome two week challenge, it was crazy, it pushed me to the edge and in the end, it was fun! Thank you FMCHS, Ms. Polischuk and students; Municipality of Wood Buffalo, Aluma Systems and Char and PJ!

Calgary Night Out!...in San Francisco,CA
This event hosted by Tourism Calgary at the Alexis Laurent Studio was RIDICULUS! The night was spent surrounded by SanFrantastic people, delectable food and drinks and a savory soundtrack spun by Deejay Rice. The amazing Mark Cromwell along-side world-class chefs, mixologist and baristas, created works of art while racing against time. And the nearly 300 guests were smiling, laughing and enjoying every flavourful bit of the experience. It's a great honour to have shared their energy and been able to paint, live, for them. Thank you!

Heya!
This 24' x 7' mural was created for Aquanode Interactive at their studio. Sheldon at Aquanode wanted to incorporate technologies that were helping(and not helping aha) push the evolution of intaractive programming. The project allowed me to explore new technical and creative approaches integrating the studio's nuances. And did I mention it was fun as hell! Big thanks and thumbs up to Aquanode family; Sheldon, Anderson, Avi, Chelsea, Cho, Cody, Josh, Kenneth, Lexie, Mikey and Rudi! for making it all a great experience!!

Hola Hola!
Here are the finished murals from "Art in the Park" taken fresh just after we had finished as dusk set in. What a great three day experience to work alongside these fabulous artists; very exciting to watch their creation process unfold through perkiness and near exhaustion and be able to share it all with the public. The diversity of styles within the project is the delightful cherry on top. Delicious!

Thank you Dale, Daniel, David, Dawn, Dean, Denise, Justin, Leslie and Tony for your love, spirit and support!

I got drunk off the positive vibes of love and support from the crowd last night. I was truly humbled by the beautiful people and the event.
Stacey, Elliot, Jesse and the staff at Auburn are awesome!

The eclectic crowd that turned out was a fantastic showing of the arts community and its supporters. The mix included artists from Word-Fest, Tattoo convention, musicians, local theatre actors, Cirque performers and visual artists to name a few.
Congratulations to all the expected mothers who came through for a peek. You are wonderful! Interesting story is that they all sat at the same table...hmmm...a special table...a lucky table : )
and also I had to resist pinching a baby boy's cheeks...until next time. so cute!
and and Thanks to all for supporting The Boys and Girls Club of Calgary and Calgary Association of Self Help (no affiliation)!
Wonderful wonderful time!
Thank you and see you soon!
Love and gratitude,

Red Deer event

Hi All !
Awesome time had by all last night! BIG Thanks to everyone who made it happen and who were there in spirit! Your kind words, bright smiles and luminous thoughts are very much appreciated.
My foray into exhibiting my artwork was an interesting experience. The weekend of the reception in Red Deer, Mother Nature proclaimed her divinity...of course...and spiked Alberta w/ a blizzard of white beauty! The roads were a bit active and caution was strongly advised. After some harrowing incidents on the the hiway from Calgary, my lovely partner Samantha and I managed to safely arrive at The Velvet Olive. And the show went on. We were stoked to find out the reception was accompanied by Ryan Sande and guests; a superb bluegrass sound. With the weather being as it was, I was surprised by the unexpected turn-out...and the band played on. I am blessed w/ great family and friends and the people of Red Deer couldn't have made for a more memorable night. Perfect!
II'm looking forward to the show in calgary in the new year; I hope I can share w/ you!
Shout out to Penny, Trent, Charly, Suzie and Carl for their hard work and efforts! And to Ryan, Corrine and Ang for your musical gifts!
Thank you all!
xo
